Mini GT Nissan GT-R Nismo GT3 Snoopy Racing 1/64 Die-Cast Car

Snoopy first climbed onto the roof of his red doghouse as the World War I Flying Ace in 1965, goggles down and scarf streaming, chasing the Red Baron across an imaginary sky. Sixty years later the helmet and scarf are unchanged, but the doghouse has been swapped for a Nissan GT-R Nismo GT3, the racing version of the R35 GT-R.

Mini GT, the die-cast line from Hong Kong's True Scale Miniatures, gives the idea a palm-sized body in a livery the colour of a clear morning. It arrives in a light-blue window box printed with Snoopy, Woodstock and the Yokohama waterfront, the kind of packaging collectors keep long after the car is out on the shelf.

Parked on the garage floor, the box behind it and a Yokohama Ferris wheel through the window.

The livery reads like a Peanuts strip from nose to tail

Sky blue covers nearly every panel. The details reward a slow look, from the front splitter to the rear wing:

1. At the nose, Nissan and Nismo lettering runs across the front lip and the bonnet.
2. On the door, a white roundel carries the No. 23, the number Nismo fans connect with Nissan's front-line GT-R in Japan's Super GT series.
3. Beside it, Snoopy rides in his flying helmet and red scarf, mid-mission, exactly as Charles Schulz drew him.
4. Small white clouds drift across the flanks and roof, so the car seems to be driving through the sky.
5. Red along the lower edges echoes the doghouse, and the Peanuts name rides along the side.
6. At the back, the tall GT3 wing stands over the rear deck like a tail fin.

Yokohama is the right home port for this car

Nissan's global headquarters stands in Yokohama's Minato Mirai district, with a gallery on the ground floor where the company shows off its cars. The box artwork places the GT-R right there, with Mount Fuji on the horizon, the Landmark Tower, the Red Brick Warehouse and the waterfront Ferris wheel behind it, and it is printed with "Pop Up Store @ Yokohama" and the dates 11.21–11.23 like an event-day edition.

Snoopy belongs in Japan as much as anywhere. The country has some of the most devoted Peanuts fans in the world, and Tokyo even has its own Snoopy Museum. With Peanuts celebrating 75 years in 2025, a beagle in racing colours feels less like a mash-up and more like a natural next chapter.

Small cars build the biggest collections

Part of the joy of collecting at this size is how quickly a shelf fills with stories. A race car, a road car and a cartoon livery can sit nose to tail on a single plank, and every one of them invites a closer look. Mini GT has earned a following among collectors for crisp printing and sharp wheels, which is exactly what a livery this busy needs.

Snoopy also makes it an easy gift across generations, for the parent who grew up with the comic strip and the child who knows him from the screen. Line it up beside our gold Lightning McQueen die-cast for a shelf where cartoons go racing.

Small enough to rest on a palm, in a workshop full of full-size tools.
