About Doesignus — Original Gifts Made for the Person, Not the Shelf
The hard part was never buying the gift.
Doesignus is an independent online design brand creating original, made-to-order gifts inspired by sport, music and celebrations around the world. We ship internationally.
The hard part is finding the one that says what you actually mean. You already know the person. You know the joke only the two of you get, the team they will not stop talking about, the song that makes them go quiet in the car. What you cannot find is that thing on a shelf.
That is the only reason Doesignus exists. We do not start with a blank shirt and look for something to put on it. We start with a person somebody is trying to get right, then decide whether that turns out to be a hoodie, a commemorative coin, a board game or an advent calendar.

The doe clears the ring. The ring is what everyone else is already wearing.
The Signature
Doe is not a person. Doe is the mark on the work.
We will not invent a founder for you. There is no garage, no grandmother's sewing machine, no origin story with a soft-focus photo. Doe is a pen name — the signature every Doesignus design is released under, the way a print shop stamps its mark in the corner.
The name does some quiet work. A doe is a deer: watchful, fast, gone before you got a good look. And in American English, a Doe is anybody — Jane Doe, John Doe, the person whose name we do not need to know. Both readings are the point. The designer does not need to be famous. The design has to be right.
So the deer in our mark is not decoration. It is mid-jump, clearing a ring that never closes. The ring is the shirt everyone already owns, the mug that could have come from anywhere. The jump is the whole job.
What We Design About
Three subjects. That is the whole list.
Most print shops sell everything to everyone, which is how you end up with nothing anybody wants. We stay inside three subjects and try to know them better than anyone else does.

Pick the sport. The person you are buying for already did.
Not club badges. The rituals around them: the 6 a.m. practice, the bag by the front door, the parent who has not missed a match in nine years. Designs for the supporter, the player, and the person driving them both.

How a Design Gets Made
We start at the wrong end on purpose
Most shops design a graphic and then look for someone to sell it to. We go the other way, because a gift only works if it was aimed at one person.

Name the person
Not “dog owners.” The woman who talks to her dog in a different voice and has a folder of his photos on her phone. If we cannot picture one real person, we do not draw it.

Find the inside joke
The detail that makes the recipient look up and ask who told you. Specific enough to be a little risky. A design that offends nobody is usually a design that moves nobody.

Retire it on schedule
Seasonal designs come down when the season ends and do not come back. A gift that everyone can still buy in March was not much of a gift in December.

We are new. We do not have a customer count to brag about yet, and we would rather tell you that than make one up. Here is what we can promise on day one.
Drawn, not downloaded
Every design starts as original artwork for Doesignus. Nothing pulled from a clip-art library and reprinted.
Designed in the USA
Every design is drawn here under the Doe signature. The making of it is handled by our manufacturing partners, never by a clip-art library.
Made to order
Nothing is held in stock. Each piece is produced after you order it, which is why a design can be as specific as it needs to be — and why the wait is longer than a warehouse would be.
30 days to change your mind
Thirty days from delivery to return anything unused and in its original packaging. Some items, such as personalized and opened boxed products, are excluded.
Our designs are created in the United States. Production is handled by our manufacturing partners rather than in our own facility, and each piece is made only after it is ordered. We describe it that way rather than labeling anything “Made in USA” — that claim has a specific legal meaning we do not meet.
