Disney Pixar's Cars opened in June 2006, and twenty years later Lightning McQueen is still the fastest rookie in Radiator Springs. The Cars 20th Anniversary Gold Lightning McQueen Die-Cast Car celebrates that milestone in a gold finish, with a 20 replacing his famous 95.
The car keeps McQueen's familiar shape: the rounded nose, the big smiling grille, the blue eyes on the windscreen and the rear spoiler. What changes is the paint. The body is a shiny metallic gold, and red lightning bolts run along both sides where his usual flames sit.
The anniversary details are easy to spot. A red “20” emblem with a speedometer arc sits on the hood, and the tires are printed “Cars 20th Anniversary” around the gold-spoked wheels.

Twenty years since Radiator Springs
Cars was released by Disney Pixar on June 9, 2006. Owen Wilson voiced Lightning McQueen, a cocky rookie race car who learns about friendship after getting stranded in the small town of Radiator Springs on Route 66.
The film started a series of sequels, spin-offs and shows, and its die-cast cars became a collecting hobby of their own. For many fans who grew up with the first film, McQueen is the car that started their collection.
The card makes the anniversary clear. It carries a “20 – 2006–2026” badge in the corner above the chrome Disney Pixar Cars logo, with McQueen's name in gold script across the red lower half.

Gold for a milestone year
McQueen is usually red, so gold signals that this version is something special. It turns a familiar character into a trophy-like collectible, which suits a car that spends his story chasing the Piston Cup.
The red bolts and the red 20 keep a link to his classic colors, so the car still reads as McQueen at first glance. Up close, the metallic finish shows off every curve of the body.
The packaging follows the same palette. A gold and red blister card holds the car on display, so it can stay sealed or come out for the shelf.

Made for collectors and display shelves
The car suits Cars fans of every age, from children who love the films to adults who collected the first die-cast releases in 2006. It sits well on a shelf, a desk or next to other model cars.
The supplied specifications describe a die-cast metal body with durable plastic components and plastic wheels, at approximately 1:64 scale, with free-rolling wheels designed for display or casual play.

Collectors building a wider car shelf can add the Hot Wheels Bullitt 1968 Ford Mustang GT Fastback Die-Cast Car for a classic film car beside him.
