Chicago Blackhawks Centennial Snowflake Feathers Ugly Christmas Hockey Jersey

Frederic McLaughlin made his money in coffee, yet in the autumn of 1926 he spent it on something far less predictable, a professional hockey team. He had served in the First World War with the 86th Division, nicknamed the Blackhawk Division after the Sauk leader Black Hawk, and he gave the new club that same name. The first version of the crest is credited to his wife, the ballroom dancer Irene Castle. A century on, the Blackhawks remain one of the Original Six, and this Christmas jersey carries the whole story in red, black and white.

The crest holds the center of the chest, circled by printed snowflakes. Crossed sticks meet over a puck below the laced collar, feathers band the sleeves and hem, and the Chicago skyline rises across the stomach with Willis Tower above the rest.

Front and back: crest and skyline, then BLACKHAWKS over a snowflake of feathers.

Every motif on the jersey points back to Chicago hockey

Nothing here was chosen at random. Read it like a program on opening night:

Motif	Where it sits	What it remembers
The crest	Center of the chest	A profile honoring Black Hawk, whose name McLaughlin's division carried into hockey
Crossed sticks and a puck	Just below the laces	A hockey jersey first, a holiday one second
The skyline	Across the stomach	Willis Tower and a downtown that has watched a century of hockey winters
Feather bands	Sleeves and hem	The feathers of the crest, repeated like a garland
The feathered snowflake	Center of the back	Four colored feathers around a puck, the oldest symbol turned into an ornament

The front, with Willis Tower rising in the skyline band.

Red, green, gold and orange feathers around a puck on the back.

One hundred seasons have produced six Stanley Cups

Chicago won its first two championships in 1934 and 1938, then waited until 1961, when Bobby Hull, Stan Mikita and goaltender Glenn Hall brought the Cup back to the old Chicago Stadium. The next drought lasted 49 years. It finally broke in 2010, and the same core won again in 2013 and 2015, three titles in six seasons that turned a generation of Chicago kids into hockey fans.

The club spent 2025–26 marking its 100th season under the banner "Always an Original," wearing a one-season home jersey with a 1926–2026 patch on the shoulder. The celebration is set to close this November against the Toronto Maple Leafs, a fitting meeting for two of the oldest names in the league.

Chicago winters were made for this shade of red

December in Chicago means wind off the lake, lights along the Magnificent Mile and a home crowd that famously cheers straight through the anthem. A red jersey covered in snowflakes belongs to that season, in the upper deck or at a family dinner with the game on in the next room.

Pair it with our Chicago Bulls candy-cane ugly sweater for a household that splits its winter nights between the ice and the hardwood. Both teams have shared the United Center roof since 1994.

Tying the collar laces by the boards before a holiday skate.

A century after a coffee man named his team for his old division, the crest still means Chicago hockey. Wear it to the last home game before Christmas and it says what it has said since 1926, with more snowflakes.
