Shiny teal satin, a snarling shark on the chest — the kind of jacket that looks like it belongs in a locker room, not just a closet.
The jacket is built like a classic satin varsity bomber: a glossy teal shell, a snap-button front, and black-and-white ribbed stripes on the collar, cuffs and hem. The San Jose Sharks’ shark-fin-and-stick crest sits over the heart, the NHL shield badge rides the left sleeve, and twin welt pockets finish the front.
It is a straightforward, old-school piece of team outerwear — the kind of jacket built to be worn, not just displayed.
The satin varsity shape has been hockey’s off-ice uniform for decades
Satin jackets have been a staple of pro-sports merchandise since at least the 1980s, prized for the way the fabric catches light and holds crisp team colors. The San Jose Sharks have worn teal as a defining color since the franchise’s founding in 1991, one of the sharpest, most recognizable palettes the NHL added in that expansion era.
Pairing that teal with the glossy satin build is what makes the jacket read as authentic team gear rather than a generic fan hoodie.

The shark-fin crest is one of the NHL’s most literal logos
San Jose’s logo — a shark fin biting through a hockey stick — is about as direct a visual pun as major pro sports branding gets, and it has barely changed since the team’s inaugural 1991-92 season. That consistency is part of why it reads instantly on a jacket chest: three decades of the same sharp silhouette.
The NHL shield on the sleeve backs that up with the league’s own mark, the same badge that appears across every officially licensed piece in the sport.

The ribbed trim and snap front are varsity jacket basics done right
Black-and-white ribbing at the collar, cuffs and hem is the detail that signals "varsity" as a category, tracing back to collegiate letterman jackets of the early 20th century long before pro teams adopted the style. Snap buttons instead of a zipper keep the silhouette clean and classic rather than modern-technical.
It is a shape built to layer over a jersey on game day or stand alone on any cold night.
