The figure combines tousled hair, oversized black chibi eyes, silver hoops, layered necklaces, an olive-green jacket, cargo-style trousers, chain details and black-and-white sneakers. Rather than dressing RM in ceremonial or stage-heavy styling, the design keeps the silhouette contemporary and relaxed, giving the “Leader Edition” a quieter personality.
At approximately 3.9 inches tall, it is built to work as a focused shelf or desk piece: small enough to sit beside albums, photo cards or books, but detailed enough that the jewelry, layered clothing and facial styling remain noticeable at close range.

ARIRANG gives the 2026 edition a specific BTS chapter
ARIRANG is more than a date marker attached to the figure.
Released on March 20, 2026, BTS’s fifth studio album marked the group’s first full-length group project following Proof. BIGHIT described the record as looking back toward BTS’s beginnings and Korean identity while expressing longing and deep love, giving the album a reflective quality despite the scale of the comeback.
The following day, BTS staged The Comeback Live | ARIRANG at Gwanghwamun Square in Seoul, placing the return inside one of Korea’s most recognizable cultural settings.
RM has a direct creative connection to the album as well. He co-wrote “SWIM,” the title track, which was presented as a song about moving through life’s challenges. That makes the ARIRANG wording especially relevant on an RM-focused figure: it connects his familiar leadership role with a new chapter in which BTS was returning as seven members and defining what the group would look like moving forward.

The Leader Edition works because it does not make leadership look formal
RM’s public role as BTS leader could easily have been translated into something overly symbolic—formal clothes, microphones, podium imagery or large text. This design instead uses clothing and posture to make the character feel more personal.
Weverse has described RM’s life as moving between the speed required of the leader of a globally successful group and his quieter personal interest in music and art. The relaxed jacket, cargo trousers and layered jewelry fit that more human interpretation better than a purely ceremonial leader portrait would.
The result is recognizable through details rather than one oversized symbol:
- Silver hoops and layered necklaces give the upper body enough detail to remain interesting at 10 cm scale.
- Olive and black clothing keep the palette understated, letting the face and jewelry draw attention first.
- Cargo styling, chains and sneakers give the figure a contemporary streetwear silhouette instead of turning it into a stage costume.
For a collector, that makes the piece easier to integrate into an existing display. It can sit beside more dramatic BTS figures without competing with them, while still carrying a distinct RM identity.

A small figure that rewards close-up display
The chibi proportions give RM a softer, more collectible silhouette, but the hand-painted finish keeps the figure from feeling visually flat.
Large eyes and rounded facial features make the expression readable from across a desk, while the earrings, chains, clothing layers and sneaker details become clearer when viewed up close. That two-level experience is useful for a small display piece: it reads quickly at a distance but still gives the owner details to notice when it is placed nearby.
The approximately 3.9-inch size also keeps the figure flexible. It can stand alone without requiring a dedicated display cabinet or become part of a larger BTS arrangement. A weighted round base provides a defined footprint, so the piece remains visually contained rather than spreading across a large section of the shelf.

Because the resin piece is hand-finished, small variations in brushwork can appear from one figure to another. For this kind of collectible, that slightly individual finish complements the character-focused approach better than a completely uniform mass-produced surface.

The strongest part of the design is its restraint. ARIRANG represents a major BTS comeback, and RM carries an immediately recognizable leadership role within that story, but the figure does not need to turn either idea into oversized spectacle. Instead, it reduces them to a shelf-sized portrait built around expression, clothing and small personal details.
