Miami Heat Vice Nights Art Deco Ugly Christmas Sweater

Neon pink buzzing against the dark, turquoise piping on a hotel facade, the orange glow of a sunset sliding behind the palms. That is the color of a Miami night, and it is the color of this holiday sweater. Red and green can stay up north.

The colors came from television before they reached the court

Miami Vice gave the city its signature look in the 1980s: pastel jackets, pink and teal neon and Art Deco hotels lit up after dark. The Heat borrowed that palette for its "Vice" City Edition uniforms beginning in the 2017–18 season, and fans adopted it almost overnight.

This sweater carries the same energy into December. It is the rare holiday sweater that looks better under club lighting than under a Christmas tree, although it handles both without complaint.

The back is a love letter to Miami Beach

MIAMI HEAT arches across the shoulders above an Art Deco hotel with a stepped tower and racing stripes, the kind that lines Ocean Drive. Behind it a sunset shaped like a basketball sinks toward the horizon, and palms frame the scene on both sides.

The Art Deco district of Miami Beach was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1979, which helped save hundreds of pastel buildings from the wrecking ball. Putting one of them on the back of a Christmas sweater is a very Miami way of saying home.

Heat Culture welcomes a new star this winter

The franchise joined the NBA as an expansion team in 1988 and has won three titles, in 2006, 2012 and 2013. Its reputation for toughness, known around the league as Heat Culture, now has a new centerpiece. Giannis Antetokounmpo arrived from Milwaukee in a blockbuster trade on 22 June 2026, and this is his first holiday season in Miami.

On Christmas Day the Heat visit the Celtics in Boston, so the watch parties will be in living rooms across South Florida. A bright sweater is the right uniform for cheering a new chapter from a long way south of the snow.

It is made for a warm-weather holiday

In a city where December afternoons usually sit in the mid-70s, a holiday sweater has to earn its place. This one goes over a T-shirt for an evening on the water, a rooftop party or a family dinner where the air conditioning never really switches off.
