Cristiano Ronaldo Obrigado Capitão Portugal No 7 2003-2026 Tribute Soccer Jersey

“To the Portuguese people the day has come for me to hand back the No. 7 shirt of our national team.” Ronaldo was 41 when he said it, twenty-three years after his first cap. The sentence holds no records and no trophies, only the idea of returning something lent to him for a very long time, and this jersey is built around that act.

The front keeps Portugal red, with deep green panels down the sides and across the shoulders and thin gold trim at the cuffs. A large number 7 fills the chest, outlined in gold and filled with fine contour lines like those on a hiking map. The federation crest sits on the right, a gold laurel around a single star on the left, and another sprig of laurel climbs the sleeve.

Front and back, the gold contour 7 and the thank-you ribbon.

The number 7 is drawn like a map of a long climb

The gold lines inside the 7 never cross. They loop and tighten like elevation rings around a summit, a fitting way to draw a career that kept rising from a teenage debut to a sixth World Cup.

In the same letter, Ronaldo said of the number 7 shirt, “I never felt it was exclusively mine.” The design takes him at his word, because the 7 on this chest belongs to whoever pulls it on, a supporter in Porto, a student abroad, a grandfather who still talks about 2004.

Portugal red with green side panels, and the laurel and star beside the crest.

Twenty-three years fit into three short lines on the back

Across the shoulders the back reads RONALDO, with a second 7 below and the dates 2003–2026 set small underneath. A green ribbon near the hem carries Obrigado, Capitão, Portuguese for thank you, captain, and a tiny gold cluster of five shields, the quinas of the Portuguese flag, sits below the collar. Behind those few lines is a career that reads like a record book.

RONALDO, 2003–2026 and the green Obrigado, Capitão ribbon.

Obrigado, Capitão is a thank-you meant to be worn

The ribbon speaks in the voice of the crowd rather than the player, leaving the last words of the shirt with the people who watched. The Portuguese federation has said it is planning a tribute of its own, and the team’s next Nations League nights will open a new chapter without him.

Wear it to those first matches, to a watch party, or on the day you want to say thank you yourself. For a keepsake that stays on the shelf, The Last Salute Ronaldo statue captures the same farewell in a single raised-hands moment.

Up close, the gold contour lines running through the 7.

Pulled on at pitchside, the 7 handed back to the fans.

Few players get to choose the words that close their international career. Ronaldo chose a sentence about a shirt, and this jersey lets the people he wrote to answer him in kind.
